Introduction course to lift accessed mountain biking

Geilo's flow-trail "Flow Motion" is a must-try for cyclists.

We help you with the necessary skills and show you everything you need to know to ride the lift accessed trail.

We start with basic bike technique in the bike-park around Vestlia Resort (base position, correct braking, bumps, berms and more).

After practising skills we show you how to take the chairlift with your bike.

Then we do the first guided run at an easy pace with all the information needed.

On the second run you can pick your own speed, apply what you have learned and get more tips and feedback on the way.

Information:

Duration: 2h

Price includes: 2h tuition and guiding with a certified MTB instructor

Age limit: 8 years and above

Bring: Bike in good condition (strong brakes and grippy tires), helmet, snack, drink, liftpass (not included in the price) and a smile. Knee and elbow protection is recommended.

Meeting place: upon agreement with the instructor. Either in Geilo summerpark (SkiGeilo), right outside the bike hire, next to the climbing tower or at the bike arena below Vestlia Resort (by the pumptrack, under the entrance sign “Geilo rides”)

Please make sure you are ready at the booked time of day (with bike and lift pass).

PLEASE NOTE: bike hire and lift pass are not included.

You can buy the lift pass at SkiGeilo. This is also where the bike rental is.

Bike hire: we recommend a "full suspension trail bike" for lift accessed biking, but if you intend to use the bike mainly on gravel roads the normal "pedal bike" (MTB with front suspension) is sufficient.
